Don’t let your IT Infrastructure Fall Behind

What does end of support for Windows 2003 mean for you?

After July 14, Microsoft will no longer be issuing security updates or providing support for any version of Windows Server 2003.  The end of life of Windows Server 2003 has serious implications to your IT operations, and waiting to address this issue could have a serious impact on your business, such as:

  1. The end of security patching could expose your business data to attack and your vulnerable system could be used to attack someone else, thereby creating a liability for your organization.
  2. The risks outweigh any cost savings that might result from simply doing nothing as applications and servers themselves could go down with no clear way to repair them, causing a loss of availability that would affect your business operations.
  3. Relying on an unsupported server operating system for production could place your company in non-compliance with one of business regulation frameworks (such as PCI) to which you must adhere. This is a potential gotcha for small businesses who could lose large businesses as customers if they fall into non-compliance.

What should you do?

Take steps now to speak with our team about your best options and developing and implementing a migration plan.  In addition to increased security, migration to an upgraded Windows server can help you realize improved performance, reduced maintenance requirements, and increased agility and speed of response to your business.
